After an absence of about 6 months, SR is back with our heaviest show to date to ring in the Year Of The Rabbit (since fireworks are illegal in Hong Kong), featuring one of the territories top heavy metal band, an upcoming funk metal band as well as a slick rock band:
The loud, abrasive and in-your-face world of Shepherds The Weak was unleashed upon Hong Kongs underground in Jan 2005 through the demise of a well-respected local band called Milk N Cookies. Through the years the line-up had undergone a number of changes but their music continued to rock the audience throughout S.E. Asia.
The HK based band came to life as Sarad Shrestha (a very popular guitar player from Nepal, AXE band fame, Kathmandu Mayhem) teamed up with a very potential free style rapper, Dipen Gurung (Kurupta), along with Aswin Gurung (Project X) on drums, and Rosen Thapa (Thunderstorm, KathmanduMayhem) on bass. Based on Rap Metal Funk Core, IMs speak of all about the frustration, domination, racism, encouragement, brotherhood, peace and humanity, encountered by every minority across the globe.
OperatoR’s is a multi faceted band who’s sound is derived from the fundamentals of various British rock and indie influences with the combination of different musical styles and creative tastes of its members. Etherial effects and driving rhythms are what gives the songs their personality. The music of operatoR finds itself within the strong sensibility of words and melody.
